Machine Gun Preacher is a true story of Sam Childers, a former drug trafficking a criminal, who is undergoing a dramatic change, and calling to find the unexpected savior of hundreds of abducted children and orphans. Gerard Butler ("300") offers brilliant performance as Childers, passionate founder of the Angels of East Africa, the rescue organization Golden Globe for director Marc Forster ("Monster Ball", has "Finding Neverland"), moving the history of violence and redemption.

When former biker gang member Sam Childers (Butler) who decides to change his life in East Africa to go to repair homes destroyed by civil war, which is shocked by the unspeakable horrors faced by vulnerable people region, especially children. Ignoring warnings from more experienced workers collaborator, Sam innovation to an orphanage where most needed, in the heart of territory controlled by the brutal Lord's Resistance Army (LRA), a rebel militia forces of the young people to become soldiers before they reach adolescence. But Sam is not sufficient to protect the LRA victims. Determined to save as many as possible, will lead the mission deep into enemy territory armed to get the abducted children, peace, and finally their lives.
